November 9 (SeeNews) - Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the highest share turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Thursday, as share indices increased, bourse data showed.
A total of 64,418 of the company's shares changed hands, generating a turnover of 46.4 million dinars. NIS lost 0.83% and closed at 720 dinars.
Cookware maker Metalac [BEL:MTLC] led the blue-chip gainers' list on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, as its share price rose 6% to 2,120 dinars. A total of 179 of the company's shares were traded, generating a turnover of 379,480 dinars.
The blue-chip BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade bourse, increased 0.61% to 734.99 points on Thursday. On Wednesday, the index rose 0.12%.
The broader BELEXline, a free‐float market capitalisation weighted index, went up 0.58% on Thursday and closed at 1,603.85 points, after declining 0.18% on Wednesday.
Soybean processing group Sojaprotein [BEL:SJPT] paced the blue-chip decliners on Wednesday, as its share price fell by 4.38% to 306 dinars. A total of 1,505 shares of the company changed hands, generating a turnover of 461,062 dinars.
The total stock trading turnover on the bourse increased to 50.3 million dinars ($492,069/423,489 euro) on Thursday from 21.7 million dinars on Wednesday, as 267 share transactions were carried out. Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the bourse came in at 371,840 dinars.
