January 22 (SeeNews) - Oil and gas group NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Monday, as share indices ended up, bourse data showed.
A total of 4,057 of the company's shares changed hands, generating a turnover of 2.9 million dinars. NIS won 0.14% and closed at 715 dinars.
Civil engineering group Energoprojekt [BEL:ENHL] led the blue-chip gainers' list on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Monday, after gaining 6.01% and closing at 900 dinars. A total of 117 of the company's shares changed hands, generating a turnover of 105,300 dinars
The blue-chip BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade bourse, rose 0.13% to 776.31 points on Monday. On Friday, the index increased 0.25%.
The broader BELEXline, a free‐float market capitalisation weighted index, went up 0.14% on Monday and closed at 1,650.58 points, after increasing by 0.05 of a basis point on Friday.
Cookware maker Metalac [BEL:MTLC] paced the blue-chip decliners on Monday, as it lost 3.53% and closed at 1,941 dinars. A total of 281 shares in the company changed hands, generating a turnover of 545,498 dinars.
The total stock trading turnover on the bourse decreased to 9.6 million dinars ($99,147/80,931 euro) on Monday from 22.4 million dinars on Friday, as 683 share transactions were carried out. Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the bourse came in at 104,000 dinars.
Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 2.130 billion dinars to the total turnover of 2.139 billion dinars on the stock exchange.
