March 19 (SeeNews) - Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Monday, as share indices ended down, bourse data showed.
A total of 9,049 of the company's shares changed hands, generating a turnover of 6.6 million dinars. NIS won 0.14% and closed at 730 dinars.
Belgrade airport operator Aerodrom Nikola Tesla [BEL:AERO] led the blue-chip gainers' list on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, as its share price increased 1.02% to 1,676 dinars. A total of 740 of the company's shares changed hands, generating a turnover of 1.2 million dinars.
The blue-chip BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade bourse, went down 0.04% to 748.51 points on Monday. On Friday, the index rose 0.52%.
The broader BELEXline, a free‐float market capitalisation weighted index, fell 0.18% on Monday and closed at 1,571.22 points, after increasing 0.57% on Friday.
Agricultural chemicals maker Galenika Fitofarmacija [BEL:FITO] paced the blue-chip decliners on Monday, as its share price fell 0.89% to 3,000 dinars. A total of 77 of the company's shares changed hands, generating a turnover of 231,000 dinars.
The total stock trading turnover on the bourse decreased to 10.6 million dinars ($110,381/89,629 euro) on Monday from 44.5 million dinars on Friday, as 375 share transactions were carried out. Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the bourse came in at 1.1 million dinars.
Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 246.3 million dinars to the total turnover of 257 million dinars on the stock exchange.
