March 18 (SeeNews) - Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Monday, as stock indices closed up, bourse data showed.
A total of 5,502 NIS shares changed hands, generating a turnover of 3.96 million dinars. NIS closed flat at 720 dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, ended the session 1.23% higher at 717.34 points.
Aerodrom Nikola Tesla [BEL:AERO] led the blue-chip gainers' list, as its share price closed 8.03% higher at 861 dinars.
The broader BELEXline, a free‐float market capitalisation weighted index, rose 0.58% to 1,561.13.
The total turnover on the bourse increased to 254 million dinars ($2.44 million/2.15 million euro) on Monday from 14.1 million on dinars on Friday, as 178 transactions were carried out.
Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the Belgrade Stock Exchange resulted in a turnover of 570,788 dinars.
Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 244.2 million dinars to the total turnover on the stock exchange.
