February 3 (SeeNews) - Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the highest turnover among the blue chips on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Friday, as stock indices closed up, bourse data showed.
A total of 8,460 NIS shares changed hands in a turnover of 6.0 million dinars. NIS closed up 1.14% at 710 dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, ended the session up 0.48% at 865.76 points. The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, also closed up 0.32% at 1,761.33.
The total turnover on the bourse amounted to 40.3 million dinars ($372,200/343,300 euro) on Friday, up from 8.0 million dinars on Thursday, as 156 transactions were carried out.
Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 9.3 million dinars to the total turnover on the stock exchange on Friday.
In the period between January 30 and February 3, BELEX15 went up 1.57%, while BELEXline rose 0.10%.
The total value of trading on the Belgrade stock market this week was 100.2 million dinars, versus 984.4 million dinars in the previous trading week.
Treasury bonds trading turnover totalled 43.5 million dinars this week, down from 941.2 million dinars last week.
