BELGRADE (Serbia), April 7 (SeeNews) – Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Tuesday, as stock indices ended up, bourse data showed.
A total of 6,985 NIS shares changed hands in turnover of 4.0 million dinars. NIS closed up 1.59% at 575 dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, ended the session up 1.22% at 672.38 points.
Industrial gases maker Messer Tehnogas [BEL:TGAS] led the blue-chip gainers' list as its share price rose 6.56% to 12,574 dinars.
The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, closed up 1.03% at 1,482.88.
The total turnover on the bourse amounted to 20.4 million dinars ($189,400/173,500 euro) on Tuesday, up from 10.3 million dinars on Monday, as 62 transactions were carried out.
Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the stock exchange generated a turnover of 4.6 million dinars.
