BELGRADE (Serbia), March 20 (SeeNews) – Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Friday, as stock indices ended up, bourse data showed.
A total of 21,485 NIS shares changed hands in turnover of 10.7 million dinars. NIS closed up 0.20% at 499 dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, ended the session up 1.51% at 630.12 points.
Aerodrom Nikola Tesla [BEL:AERO] led the blue-chip gainers' list as its share price rose 8.72% to 848 dinars.
The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, closed up 0.24% at 1,442.66.
The total turnover on the bourse amounted to 1.586 billion dinars ($14.4 million/13.5 million euro) on Friday, up from 99.9 million dinars on Thursday, as 75 transactions were carried out.
Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the stock exchange generated a turnover of 5,750 dinars.
Treasury bonds contributed 1.569 billion dinars to the total turnover on the stock exchange on Friday.
In the period between March 16 and 20, BELEX15 declined by 11.78% and BELEXline fell by 8.86%.
The total value of trading on the Belgrade stock market this week was 2.067 billion dinars, versus 3.140 billion dinars in the previous week.
