October 23 (SeeNews) - Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Wednesday, as stock indices ended up, bourse data showed.
A total of 6,087 NIS shares changed hands in turnover of 4.1 million dinars. NIS shares lost 0.45% and closed at 677 dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, ended the session 0.78% higher at 753.18 points.
Civil engineering group Energoprojekt [BEL:ENHL] led the blue-chip gainers' list, as its share price rose 5.90% to 700 dinars.
The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, grew 0.63% to 1,612.18.
The total turnover on the bourse amounted to 20.3 million dinars ($192,000/172,600 euro) on Wednesday, down from Tuesday's 43 million dinars, as 111 transactions were carried out.
Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the exchange generated a turnover of 14.5 million dinars.
No Treasury bonds changed hands on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Wednesday.
