BELGRADE (Serbia), September 17 (SeeNews) - Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the highest turnover and led the blue-chip gainers' list on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Tuesday, as stock indices ended up, bourse data showed.
A total of 11,372 NIS shares changed hands in turnover of 7.7 million dinars. NIS shares closed up 1.34% at 680 dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, ended the session 0.32% higher at 759.87 points.
The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, rose 0.14% to 1,619.87.
The total turnover on the bourse amounted to 75 million dinars ($703,500/638,000 euro) on Tuesday, down from Monday's 1.697 billion dinars, as 187 transactions were carried out.
Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the exchange generated a turnover of 11.7 million dinars.
Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 53 million dinars to the total turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Tuesday.
