May 31 (SeeNews) - Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Friday, as share indices ended up, bourse data showed.
A total of 26,260 NIS shares changed hands in turnover of 19 million dinars. NIS lost 0.28% and closed at 722 dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, ended up 0.17% at 733.32 points.
Agricultural chemicals maker Galenika Fitofarmacija [BEL:FITO] led the blue-chip gainers' list, as its share price grew 3.20% to 3,000 dinars.
The broader BELEXline, a free‐float market capitalisation weighted index, grew 0.20% to 1,558.70.
The total turnover on the bourse fell to 22.1 million dinars ($209,175/187,443 euro) on Friday, from 2.5 million dinars on Thursday, as 85 transactions were carried out.
Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the exchange generated a turnover of 497,506 dinars.
No Treasury bonds changed hands on the stock exchange on Thursday.
In the period between May 27 and 31, BELEX15 rose by 0.09%, while BELEXline fell by 0.08%.
The total value of trading on the Belgrade stock market in the period between May 27 and 31 was 720.5 million dinars, versus 810.4 million dinars in the previous week.
Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 554.8 million dinars to the total turnover, versus 677.9 million dinars last week.
