April 3 (SeeNews) - Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Wednesday, as stock indices ended up, bourse data showed.
A total of 2,385 NIS shares changed hands, generating a turnover of 1.7 million dinars. NIS won 0.14% and closed at 729 dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, ended the session 0.39% higher at 732.31 points.
Industrial gases producer Messer Tehnogas led the blue-chip gainers' list as its share price rose 1.80% to 11,198 dinars.
The broader BELEXline, a free‐float market capitalisation weighted index, closed up 0.32% at 1,592.24.
The total turnover on the bourse increased to 1.256 billion dinars ($12 million/10.7 million euro) on Wednesday from 617 million dinars on Tuesday, as 142 transactions were carried out.
Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the Belgrade Stock Exchange resulted in a turnover of 632,219 dinars.
Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 1.247 billion dinars to the total turnover on the stock exchange on Wednesday.
