March 27 (SeeNews) - Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Wednesday, as stock indices ended up, bourse data showed.
A total of 7,919 NIS shares changed hands, generating a turnover of 5.8 million dinars. NIS share price closed flat at 729 dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, ended the session 0.34% higher at 732.55 points.
Agricultural chemicals producer Galenika Fitofarmacija [BE:FITO] led the blue-chip gainers' list, as its share price rose 1.79% to 2,850 points.
The broader BELEXline, a free‐float market capitalisation weighted index, closed up 0.20% at 1,586.34.
The total turnover on the bourse increased to 10.6 million dinars ($101,177/89,912 euro) on Wednesday from 7.9 million dinars on Tuesday, as 153 transactions were carried out.
Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the Belgrade Stock Exchange resulted in a turnover of 452,025 dinars.
Treasury bonds contributed 189,825 dinars to the total turnover on the stock market.
