October 26 (SeeNews) - Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Friday but paced the blue-chip decliners list, as share indices ended up, bourse data showed.
A total of 2,587 of NIS' shares changed hands, generating a turnover of 1.8 million dinars. The company closed down 0.15% at 685 dinars.
Aluminium rolling mill Impol Seval [BEL:IMPL] led the blue-chip gainers' list on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, as its share price rose 5.87% to 3,229 dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade bourse, went up 0.02% to 749.69 points on Friday. The index rose 1.88% on Thursday.
The broader BELEXline, a free‐float market capitalisation weighted index, rose 0.09% to 1,548.09 points on Friday, after increasing 0.25% on Thursday.
The total stock trading turnover on the bourse decreased to 6.6 million dinars ($63,338/55,751 euro) on Friday from 157.6 million dinars on Thursday, as 158 share transactions were carried out. Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the bourse came in at 119,900 dinars.
In the period between October 22 and 26, BELEX15 rose by 1.45% and BELEXline declined by 0.04%.
The total value of trading in shares on the Belgrade stock market in the period between October 22 and 26 was 290 million dinars, versus 54.9 million dinars in the previous week.
Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 3.059 billion dinars to the total turnover, versus 3.349 billion dinars last week.
