June 14 (SeeNews) - Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Thursday, as share indices ended up, bourse data showed.
A total of 2,934 of the company's shares changed hands, generating a turnover of 2 million dinars. NIS lost 0.14% and closed at 697 dinars.
Belgrade airport operator Aerodrom Nikola Tesla [BEL:AERO] led the blue-chip gainers' list on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, after winning 1.64% and closing at 1,677 dinars. A total of 684 of the company's shares changed hands, generating a turnover of 1.1 million dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade bourse, went up 0.15% to 734.37 points on Thursday. The index rose 0.44% on Wednesday.
The broader BELEXline, a free‐float market capitalisation weighted index, grew 0.06% to 1,551.94 points on Thursday, after increasing 0.24% on Wednesday.
Agricultural chemicals producer Galenika Fitofarmacija [BEL:FITO] paced the blue-chip decliners on Thursday after losing 1.19% and closing at 2,816 dinars. A total of 20 of the company's shares changed hands, generating a turnover of 56,311 dinars.
The total stock trading turnover on the bourse rose to 9 million dinars ($89,372/76,203 euro) on Thursday from 3.7 million dinars on Wednesday, as 171 share transactions were carried out. Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the bourse came in at 170,520 dinars.
Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 453.3 million dinars to the total turnover of 462.4 million dinars on the stock exchange.
