January 28 (SeeNews) - Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the highest turnover among the blue chips on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Friday, as stock indices closed down, bourse data showed.
A total of 236 NIS shares changed hands in a turnover of 144,621 dinars. NIS closed down 0.81% at 613 dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, ended the session down 0.30% at 856.22 points. The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, closed down 0.15% at 1,776.47.
The total turnover on the bourse amounted to 865.2 million dinars ($8.2 million/7.4 million euro) on Friday, up from 239.9 million dinars on Thursday, as 32 transactions were carried out.
Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the stock exchange generated a turnover of 511,930 dinars.
Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 864.5 million dinars to the total turnover on the stock exchange on Friday.
In the period between January 24 and 28, BELEX15 went down 0.63%, while BELEXline fell 0.34%.
The total value of trading on the Belgrade stock market this week was 2.321 billion dinars, versus 9.6 million dinars last week.
Treasury bonds trading turnover totalled 2.311 billion dinars this week, while no securities changed hands last week.
