August 19 (SeeNews) - Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Thursday, as stock indices ended down, bourse data showed.
A total of 14,855 NIS shares changed hands in a turnover of 9.1 million dinars. NIS also led the blue-chip gainers as its share price went up 0.16% to 615 dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, ended the session down 0.52% at 806.66 points.
The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, closed down 0.25% at 1,716.80.
The total turnover on the bourse amounted to 18.5 million dinars ($33,800/29,000 euro) on Thursday, down from 150.1 million dinars on Wednesday, as 66 transactions were carried out.
Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the stock exchange generated a turnover of 3.4 million dinars.
