May 22 (SeeNews) - Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Friday, as stock indices ended down, bourse data showed.
A total of 15,559 NIS shares changed hands in turnover of 9.1 million dinars. NIS closed down 0.85% at 585 dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, ended the session down 0.67% at 669.94 points.
Lender Komercijalna banka [BEL:KMBN] led the blue-chip gainers' list as its share price rose 0.13% to 2,300 dinars.
The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, closed down 0.18% at 1,487.93.
The total turnover on the bourse amounted to 14.4 million dinars ($133,500/122,500 euro) on Friday, down from 822 million dinars on Thursday, as 84 transactions were carried out.
Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the stock exchange generated a turnover of 48,360 dinars.
In the period between May 18 and May 22, BELEX15 rose by 0.42% and BELEXline grew by 0.82%.
The total value of trading on the Belgrade stock marketthis week was 1.442 billion dinars, versus 86.9 million dinars last week.
Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 1.396 billion dinars to the total turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange this week.
