BELGRADE (Serbia), March 27 (SeeNews) – Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Friday, as stock indices ended down, bourse data showed.
A total of 4,542 NIS shares changed hands in turnover of 2.6 million dinars. NIS closed down 0.52% at 569 dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, ended the session down 0.16% at 637.63 points.
Construction company Jedinstvo [BEL:JESV] led the blue-chip gainers' list, as its share price rose 5.45% to 5,800 dinars.
The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, closed down 0.54% at 1,434.38.
The total turnover on the bourse amounted to 5.1 million dinars ($47,600/43,400 euro) on Friday, down from 2.154 billion dinars on Thursday, as 47 transactions were carried out.
Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the stock exchange generated a turnover of 393,880 dinars.
In the period between March 23 and 27, BELEX15 rose by 1.19% and BELEXline fell by 0.57%.
The total value of trading on the Belgrade stock market this week was 2.183 billion dinars, versus 2.067 billion dinars last week.
