February 27 (SeeNews) - Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Thursday, as stock indices ended down, bourse data showed.
A total of 12,991 NIS shares changed hands in turnover of 9.6 million dinars. NIS closed down 0.41% at 736 dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, ended the session down 0.80% at 802.13 points.
Aluminium rolling mill Impol Seval [BEL:IMPL] led the blue-chip gainers' list, as its share price rose 1.24% to 3,600 dinars.
The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, closed down 0.83% at 1,729.76.
The total turnover on the bourse amounted to 1.056 billion dinars ($9.9 million/9.0 million euro) on Thursday, up from 41.8 million dinars on Wednesday, as 75 transactions were carried out.
Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the stock exchange generated a turnover of 75,000 dinars.
Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 1.035 billion dinars to the total turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Thursday.
