February 24 (SeeNews) - Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Monday, as stock indices ended down, bourse data showed.
A total of 6,521 NIS shares changed hands in turnover of 4.8 million dinars. NIS closed down 0.14% at 739 dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, ended the session down 0.98% at 801.69 points.
Construction company Jedinstvo [BEL:JESV] led the blue-chip gainers' list, as its share price rose 0.60% to 7,000 dinars.
The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, closed down 0.85% at 1,740.74.
The total turnover on the bourse amounted to 44.4 million dinars ($410,000/378,000 euro) on Monday, up from 37.7 million dinars on Friday, as 68 transactions were carried out.
Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the stock exchange generated a turnover of 35.6 million dinars.
No Treasury bonds changed hands on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Friday.
