October 22 (SeeNews) - Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Tuesday, as stock indices ended down, bourse data showed.
A total of 5,598 NIS shares changed hands in turnover of 3.8 million dinars. NIS shares lost 0.74% at 674 dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, ended the session 0.25% lower at 747.37 points.
Civil engineering group Energoprojekt [BEL:ENHL] led the blue-chip gainers' list, as its share price grew 1.54% to 661 dinars.
The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, grew 0.44% to 1,602.02.
The total turnover on the bourse amounted to 43 million dinars ($407,050/365,600 euro) on Tuesday, up from Monday's 10.7 million dinars, as 174 transactions were carried out.
Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the exchange generated a turnover of 36.8 million dinars.
No Treasury bonds changed hands on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Tuesday.
