June 17 (SeeNews) - Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Monday, as stock indices ended down, bourse data showed.
A total of 1,143 NIS shares changed hands in a turnover of 797,370 dinars. NIS closed at 698 dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, ended the session 0.18% lower at 722.89 points.
Construction company Jedinstvo [BEL:JESV] led the blue-chip gainers' list, as its share price grew 1.89% to 5,400 dinars.
The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, fell 0.08% to 1,530.05.
The total turnover on the bourse amounted to 564.7 million dinars ($5.4 million/4.8 million euro) on Monday, as 82 transactions were carried out.
Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the exchange generated a turnover of 102,900 dinars.
Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 560.7 million dinars to the total turnover on the stock market on Monday.
