December 12 (SeeNews) - Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Wednesday, as share indices ended down, bourse data showed.
A total of 1,373 of NIS' shares changed hands, generating a turnover of 923,899 dinars. The company closed flat at 673 dinars.
Construction company Jedinstvo [BEL:JESV] led the blue-chip gainers' list on Wednesday, as its share price rose 1.0% to 5,252 dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade bourse, went down 0.85% to 745.65 points on Wednesday. The index falling 1.43% on Tuesday.
The broader BELEXline, a free‐float market capitalisation weighted index, fell 0.40% to 1,563.30 points on Wednesday, after rising 0.73% on Tuesday.
Lender Komercijalna banka [BEL:KMBN] paced the blue-chip decliners, as its share price fell 4.14% to 2,106 dinars.
The total stock trading turnover on the bourse decreased to 2.9 million dinars ($27,784/24,494 euro) on Wednesday from 8.3 million dinars on Tuesday, as 195 share transactions were carried out. Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the bourse came in at 185,920 dinars.
