November 19 (SeeNews) - Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Monday, as share indices ended down, bourse data showed.
A total of 14,700 of NIS' shares changed hands, generating a turnover of 10.1 million dinars. The company closed down 0.29% at 686 dinars.
None of the blue chips saw its share price increase on Monday.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade bourse, went down 0.11% to 744.87 points on Monday. The index fell 0.91% on Friday.
The broader BELEXline, a free‐float market capitalisation weighted index, fell 0.08% to 1,538.32 points on Monday, after declining 0.79% on Friday.
Cookware maker Metalac [BEL:MTLC] paced the blue-chip decliners' list, as its share price fell 0.54% to 2,030 dinars.
The total stock trading turnover on the bourse decreased to 16.4 million dinars ($158,479/138,593 euro) on Monday from 42.6 million dinars on Friday, as 166 share transactions were carried out. Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the bourse came in at 130,102 dinars.
Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 1.593 billion dinars to the total turnover of 1.609 billion dinars on the stock exchange.
