September 10 (SeeNews) - Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Monday, as share indices ended down, bourse data showed.
A total of 983 of NIS' shares changed hands, generating a turnover of 666,651 dinars. The company lost 1.17% and closed at 678 dinars.
Agricultural chemicals producer Galenika Fitofarmacija [BEL:FITO] led the blue-chip gainers' list on Monday, after closing up 1.05% at 2,800 dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade bourse, went down 0.32% to 722.41 points on Monday. The index closed flat at 724.72 on Friday.
The broader BELEXline, a free‐float market capitalisation weighted index, fell 0.12% to 1,519.14 points on Monday, after decreasing 0.05% on Friday.
Aluminium rolling mill Impol Seval [BEL:IMPL] paced the blue-chip decliners list on Monday, after falling 6.16% and closing at 3,003 dinars. A total of five of the company's shares changed hands, generating a turnover of 15,015 dinars.
The total stock trading turnover on the bourse fell to 4.2 million dinars ($41,180/35,479 euro) on Monday from 14.1 million dinars on Friday, as 51 share transactions were carried out. Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the bourse came in at 547,320 dinars.
Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 281.9 million dinars to the total turnover of 285.1 million dinars on the stock exchange.
