June 12 (SeeNews) - Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Tuesday, as share indices ended down, bourse data showed.
A total of 2,662 of the company's shares changed hands, generating a turnover of 1.8 million dinars. Aerodrom won 1.17% and closed at 694 dinars.
Belgrade airport operator Aerodrom Nikola Tesla [BEL:AERO] led the blue-chip gainers' list on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, after winning 1.42% and closing at 1,668 dinars. A total of 433 of the company's shares changed hands, generating a turnover of 719,187 dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade bourse, went down 0.33% to 730.12 points on Tuesday. The index declined 0.49% on Monday.
The broader BELEXline, a free‐float market capitalisation weighted index, fell 0.36% to 1,547.23 points on Tuesday, after decreasing 0.37% on Monday.
Industrial gases maker Messer Tehnogas [BEL:TGAS] paced the blue-chip decliners on Tuesday after losing 3.80% and closing at 11,400 dinars. A total of 121 of the company's shares changed hands, generating a turnover of 1.4 million dinars.
The total stock trading turnover on the bourse rose to 17.1 million dinars ($170,527/144,721 euro) on Tuesday from 10.3 million dinars on Monday, as 434 share transactions were carried out. Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the bourse came in at 12.8 million dinars.
Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 118.8 million dinars to the total turnover of 135.9 million dinars on the bourse.
