April 28 (SeeNews) - Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Tuesday, as stock indices ended down, bourse data showed.
A total of 16,075 NIS shares changed hands in turnover of 8.3 million dinars. NIS closed down 2.81% at 518 dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, ended the session down 3.07% at 656.02 points.
Household appliances maker Alfa plam [BEL:ALFA] led the blue-chip gainers' list as its share price rose 0.03% to 26,500 dinars.
The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, closed down 2.83% at 1,455.97.
The total turnover on the bourse amounted to 590.9 million dinars ($5.5 million/5.0 million euro) on Tuesday, up from 5.1 million dinars on Monday, as 94 transactions were carried out.
Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the stock exchange generated a turnover of 27,850 dinars.
Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 581.4 million dinars to the total turnover on the stock exchange on Tuesday.
