February 28 (SeeNews) - Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Friday, as stock indices ended down, bourse data showed.
A total of 3,723 NIS shares changed hands in turnover of 2.7 million dinars. NIS closed down 0.69% at 715 dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, ended the session down 0.38% at 799.08 points.
Aerodrom Nikola Tesla [BEL:AERO] led the blue-chip gainers' list, as its share price rose 1.84% to 1,049 dinars.
The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, closed down 0.37% at 1,723.28.
The total turnover on the bourse amounted to 1.241 billion dinars ($11.6 million/10.6 million euro) on Friday, up from 1.056 billion dinars on Friday, as 144 transactions were carried out.
Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the stock exchange generated a turnover of 515,196 dinars.
Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 1.214 billion dinars to the total turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Friday.
In the period between February 24 and 28, BELEX15 declined by 1.30% and BELEXline fell by 1.84%.
The total value of trading on the Belgrade stock market last week was 2.397 billion dinars, versus 1.217 billion dinars in the previous week.
