August 25 (SeeNews) - The share indices of the Belgrade Stock Exchange closed up on Wednesday, with oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] leading the blue-chip gainers' list, bourse data showed.
NIS closed 2.79% higher at 626 dinars on Wednesday. Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the highest turnover of 10 million dinars, as 15,940 of its shares changed hands.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, ended the session 0.56% higher at 800.95 points.
The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, closed up 0.28% at 1,700.66.
The bourse's total turnover rose to 11.3 million dinars ($112,900/96,100 euro) on Wednesday, from 7.1 million dinars on Tuesday, as 76 transactions were carried out.
Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the stock exchange generated a turnover of 790,205 dinars.
Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 414,185 dinars to the total turnover on the stock exchange on Wednesday.
