January 9 (SeeNews) - Total stock trading turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange more than halved on Wednesday as oil company NIS [BEL:NIIS] attracted highest investor interest, bourse data showed.
The total stock trading turnover on the bourse decreased to 3.5 million dinars ($34,035/29,548 euro) on Wednesday from 7.5 million dinars on Tuesday, as 42 transactions were carried out. Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the stock exchange saw a turnover of 536,000 dinars.
A total of 796 NIS shares changed hands, generating a turnover of 540,832 dinars. They closed at 679 dinars, 0.15% down from Tuesday's close.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade bourse, closed 3.24% lower at 694.97 points on Wednesday.
The broader BELEXline, a free‐float market capitalisation weighted index, dropped 1.62% to 1,511.93 points on Tuesday.
No bonds were traded on Wednesday.
