February 20 (SeeNews) - Oil and gas group NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated more than half of the total trading turnover on the Belgrade stock market on Monday, as share indices rose, bourse data showed.
NIS generated a stock turnover of 11.7 million dinars on Monday. It was also the most traded stock on the bourse, as 15,608 shares changed hands in a total of 124 transactions. NIS won 0.13% and closed at 750 dinars.
Civil engineering group Energoprojekt [BEL:ENHL] was the second most traded company on the bourse, as 1,562 of its shares changed hands in 25 transactions, generating a turnover of 1.97 million dinars. The company added 0.16% and closed the session at 1,263 dinars.
Last week, Energoprojekt acquired 97,700 of its own shares on the stock market under a plan to counter recent unfavourable fluctuations in its share price on the Belgrade bourse. The company intends to buy back up to 218,620 shares out of the total 10,931,929 trading on the stock market under the project.
Airport operator Aerodrom Nikola Tesla [BEL:AERO] led the blue-chip gainers list on the Belgrade bourse on Monday, winning 2.93% to 1,196 dinars, as 969 of its shares changed hands in a turnover of 1.15 million dinars.
Lender Komercijalna banka [BEL:KMBN] paced the blue-chip decliners, as it shed 1.24% to 1,750 dinars. A total of 90 of the lender's shares changed hands, generating a turnover of 157,500 dinars.
The blue-chip BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade bourse, won 0.27% to 711.81 points. On Friday, the index added 0.15% to 709.89.
The broader BELEXline, a free‐float market capitalisation weighted index, rose 0.26% and closed Monday's session at 1,551.31 after edging up 0.07% to 1,547.29 on Friday.
The total stock trading turnover on the bourse rose to 21.5 million dinars ($184,431/173,634 euro), generated in a total of 418 transactions, from 8.2 million dinars on Friday. Trading in shares on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) segment contributed 4.1 million dinars to the total turnover on the Belgrade stock market on Monday.
No Treasury bonds changed hands on Monday on the Belgrade stock market.
