December 13 (SeeNews) - The number of construction permits issued in Croatia rose by an annual 8.7% to 839 in October, after increasing 14% year-on-year a month earlier, the national statistical office said on Wednesday.
The number of permits issued for buildings grew 17% on the year in October, reaching 713, while the number of permits issued for civil engineering works dropped 21% to 126, the Croatian Bureau of Statistics said in a statement.
The planned value of works covered by the total number of construction permits issued in October reached 2.1 billion kuna ($326.5 million/278.1 million euro).
Out of the total number of permits issued in October, 586 were for new construction, while 253 related to reconstruction.
Based on the number of permits issued in October, 1,147 dwellings were planned, up 26% year-on-year.
