June 13 (SeeNews) - The number of construction permits issued in Croatia rose by an annual 18.3% to 826 in April, after increasing 37.4% year-on-year a month earlier, the statistical office said on Tuesday.
The number of permits issued for buildings increased 24.6% on the year in April, reaching 693, while the number of permits issued for civil engineering works dropped 6.3% to 133, the Croatian Bureau of Statistics said in a statement.
The planned value of works covered by the total number of construction permits issued in April reached 2.1 billion kuna ($317.7 million/283.4 million euro).
Out of the total number of permits issued in April, 571 were for new construction, while 255 related to reconstruction.
Based on the number of permits issued in April, 958 dwellings were planned, up 17.4% year-on-year.
