August 14 (SeeNews) - The number of construction permits issued in Croatia rose by an annual 15.7% to 736 in June, after increasing 24% year-on-year a month earlier, the national statistical office said on Monday.
The number of permits issued for buildings increased 17.1% on the year in June, reaching 608, while the number of permits issued for civil engineering works rose 9.4% to 128, the Croatian Bureau of Statistics said in a statement.
The planned value of works covered by the total number of construction permits issued in June reached 1.8 billion kuna ($287.2 million/243.4 million euro).
Out of the total number of permits issued in June, 519 were for new construction, while 217 related to reconstruction.
Based on the number of permits issued in June, 737 dwellings were planned, up 18.7% year-on-year.
