July 15 (SeeNews) - New passenger car registrations in Romania increased by an annual 23.1% to 58,712 in the first half of 2022, provisional data from the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA) showed on Friday.
EU new car sales continued their downward trend in June, as supply chain issues continue to limit vehicle output, ACEA said in a statement.

Romanian car manufacturer Dacia's registrations increased 16% on the year, to a total of 210,536 units in January-June. Dacia’s market share rose at 4.6% over the first six months of 2022, compared to 3.4% over the same period last year.
New passenger car registrations within the EU, excluding Malta, decreased by an annual 14% in January-June, to a total of 4.608 million units.
New passenger car registrations in Romania fell 4.1% on the year to 121,208 in 2021.
