June 16 (SeeNews) - New passenger car registrations in Romania increased by an annual 32.9% to 47,645 in the first five months of 2022, provisional data from the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA) showed.
Romanian car manufacturer Dacia increased 11.9% on the year, to a total of 155,247 units in January-May, ACEA said in a statement on Thursday.

Dacia’s market share rose at 4.2% over the first five months of 2022, compared to 3.2% over the same period last year.
New passenger car registrations within the EU, excluding Malta, decreased by an annual 13.7% in January-May, to a total of 3.721 million units.
New passenger car registrations in Romania fell 4.1% on the year to 121,208 in 2021.
