September 23 (SeeNews) - New commercial vehicles registrations in Romania decreased by an annual 13% to 13,868 in the first eight months of 2022, provisional data from the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA) showed on Friday.
Light commercial vehicles dropped 17.7% on the year, to a total of 9,019 units in January-August, ACEA said in a statement.
The number of heavy commercial vehicles saw an annual increase of 12.1%, to 4,211 units in the first eight months of the year.
Medium and heavy commercial vehicles decreased by 3% year-on-year, to 4,341 units, between January and August 2022.
In the first eight months of 2022, the amount of medium and heavy buses and coaches produced stayed the same as in the like period of last year, with 508 units produced.
New commercial vehicles registrations in Romania rose 22% on the year to 22,772 in 2021.
During the first eight months of 2022, new commercial vehicle registrations in the EU fell by an annual 18.8% to 1.05 million.
