May 6 (SeeNews) - Sales of new passenger cars in Croatia rose to 4,470 in April from 4,165 in the same month of 2021, market research agency Promocija Plus said.
Volkswagen was the top-selling brand in the country of some 3.89 million people with 506 cars sold in April, Promocija Plus said in a statement. Its sales fell on an annual comparison basis, from 589 cars sold in April 2021.
Kia followed with 513 cars, up from 227 in April 2021, and Opel ranked third with 307 cars, down from 390 last year.
The best-selling models in April were Dacia Duster with 181 cars sold, Opel Mokka with 176 ones and Kia Stonic with 158 units.
New car sales in the first four months of 2022 totalled 14,233, down 3% compared to the same period of 2021.
In 2021, sales of new passenger cars in Croatia rose by 25.5% to 45,389 vehicles.
