November 7 (SeeNews) - Sales of new passenger cars in Croatia rose to 3,045 in October from 2,853 in the same month of 2021, market research agency Promocija Plus said on Monday.
Volkswagen was the top-selling brand in the country of some 3.89 million people with 441 cars sold in October, Promocija Plus said in a statement.
Its sales rose on an annual comparison basis, from 234 cars sold in October 2021.
Skoda followed with 426 cars, up from 162 in October 2021, and Audi ranked third with 290 cars, up from 81 last year.
The best-selling models in October were Skoda Octavia with 184 cars sold, Volkswagen Tiago with 110 ones, and Volkswagen Tiguan with 95 cars sold.
New car sales in the first 10 months of 2022 totalled 38,687, down 3.9% compared to the same period of 2021.
In 2021, sales of new passenger cars in Croatia rose by 25.5% to 45,389 vehicles.
