August 16 (SeeNews) - Sales of new passenger cars in Croatia rose by 10.58% year-on-year in July, reaching 5,675, compared with 5,132 in the same month of last year, market research agency Promocija Plus said.
On a monthly comparison basis, new car sales in July declined by 18% from June's 6,936 sold units, Promocija Plus said in a statement last week.
In the first five seven months of 2021, new car sales in Croatia increased by 41% year-on-year, reaching 31,778.
Opel was the top-selling brand in the country of some 4.2 million people with 809 vehicles sold in July, down from 874 in June.
Volkswagen was the runner-up with 781 cars sold in July, down from 880 in June.
Dacia raked third with 493 sold vehicles in July, up from June's 422.
The best-selling car models in Croatia in July were Opel Corsa, of which 407 cars were sold, followed by Opel Crossland wih 272 and Volkswagen T-Cross with 258.
New car sales in Croatia decreased by 43% to 36,084 last year.
