March 2 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's Central Cooperative Bank [BUL:4CF] said on Thursday its consolidated net profit rose to 25.7 million levs ($13.8 million/13.1 million euro) in 2016, from 3.9 million levs in 2015.
The lender's net interest income rose to 120 million levs last year, from 87.4 million levs a year earlier, Central Cooperative Bank said in its 2016 financial statement.
Net fee and commission income rose to 47.5 million levs last year, from 43.1 million levs in 2015.
The bank’s operating costs increased to 134.6 million levs in 2016, from 129.2 million levs the year before.
Central Cooperative Bank's total assets grew by an annual 7.11%, reaching 5.2 billion levs as at end-2016.
The bank, majority-owned by Bulgarian industrial group Chimimport [BUL:6C4], is the eighth largest in the country in terms of assets.
