January 17 (SeeNews) - The net inflow of foreign direct investment (FDI) into Montenegro rose to 394.1 million euro ($481 million) in the first eleven months of 2017, from 347.4 million euro in the prior-year period, the central bank said, citing preliminary figures.
Total FDI inflow dropped to 538.3 million euro in the first eleven months of 2017 from 640.8 million euro in January-November 2016, while FDI outflow declined to 144.3 million euro from 293.3 million euro, the central bank said.
The inflow of investments in companies and banks fell to 152.7 million euro in the period under review, from 159.6 million euro a year earlier, while investments in real estate grew 12.8% on the year to 132.4 million euro.
FDI inflow in the form of intercompany lending rose to 219.1 million euro in January-November, from 172.9 million euro in the like period of 2016.
The net inflow of FDI into Montenegro decreased to 371.6 million euro in 2016, from 619.3 million euro in the previous year.
