December 10 (SeeNews) - Net investment in Romania's economy increased 2.7% on the year in the first nine months of 2018, reaching 54.6 billion lei ($13.3 billion/11.7 billion euro), the country's statistical office said on Monday.
Net investment in machinery and equipment, including vehicles, rose by 8.8% year-on-year in January-September, while net investment in new construction fell by 8.2%. Combined investments in other sectors jumped by 31.3% on the year in the nine months of the year, the statistical office said.
In the third quarter alone, net investment in Romania's economy edged down by 1.5% year-on-year, to 21.05 billion lei.
