July 3 (SeeNews) - The net inflow of foreign direct investment (FDI) into Kosovo jumped to 25.3 million euro ($28.8 million) in April from 15.7 million euro in the same month of 2016, according to data from the country's central bank.
FDI inflow in April totalled 27 million euro, whereas FDI outflow was 1.7 million euro, figures from Kosovo's central bank showed on Friday.
By comparison, foreign remittances to Kosovo totalled 57.9 million euro in April.
The biggest volume of inbound investment, 4.9 million euro, originated in Germany, followed by Turkey with 4.6 million euro.
The sectors, which attracted the biggest volume of investment by non-residents, were financial services with 10.7 million euro and real estate with 10.6 million euro.
In the first four months of the year, net FDI inflow to Kosovo rose 26.7% on the year to 90.4 million euro.
In 2016 the net inflow of FDI into Kosovo declined to 215.9 million euro from 308.8 million euro in 2015.
