March 19 (SeeNews) - The net inflow of foreign direct investment (FDI) into Bulgaria dropped to 32.7 million euro ($38.9 million) in January from 108.4 million euro in January 2020, the central bank said on Friday.
The net FDI inflow in January, calculated according to the directional principle, was equal to 0.1% of Bulgaria's 2021 forecast gross domestic product, the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) said in a statement, citing preliminary data.
The largest net FDI inflow into Bulgaria in January, of 23.9 million euro, came from the Netherlands. Germany contributed the second highest net FDI inflow into Bulgaria, of 6.8 million euro.
