PRISTINA (Kosovo), January 6 (SeeNews) – The net inflow of foreign direct investment (FDI) to Kosovo totalled 35.0 million euro ($39.0 million) in October, higher than 29.2 million euro in the same month of 2018, according to preliminary data published by the central bank.
By comparison, foreign remittances to Kosovo totalled 78.2 million euro in October, up 4.5% year-on-year.
The biggest volume of inbound foreign investment in Kosovo in October, of 7.0 million euro, originated in Germany. UK followed with 5.2 million euro.
The sectors, which attracted the biggest volume of investment by non-residents in October were real estate, renting and business activities with 21.6 million euro, and financial intermediation with 8.2 million euro.
In 2018, the net inflow of FDI to Kosovo totalled 231.5 million euro, down from 281.3 million euro in 2017.
