PRISTINA (Kosovo), September 6 (SeeNews) – The net inflow of foreign direct investment (FDI) to Kosovo totalled 11.4 million euro ($12.6 million) in June, lower than 10.1 million euro in the same month of 2018, according to preliminary data published by the central bank.
By comparison, foreign remittances to Kosovo totalled 73.5 million euro in June, down 3.5% year-on-year.
The biggest single volume of inbound foreign investment in Kosovo in June, of 6.7 million euro, originated in Albania. Switzerland followed with 5.6 million euro.
The sectors, which attracted the biggest volume of investment by non-residents in June were real estate, renting and business activities with 17.1 million euro, and financial intermediation with 4.3 million euro.
In 2018, the net inflow of FDI to Kosovo totalled 231.5 million euro, down from 281.3 million euro in 2017.
