PRISTINA (Kosovo), May 3 (SeeNews) – The net inflow of foreign direct investment (FDI) to Kosovo totalled 19.9 million euro ($22.3 million) in February, up from 16.4 million euro in the same month of 2018, according to central bank data.
By comparison, foreign remittances to Kosovo totalled 56.6 million euro in February, up 6.8% year-on-year.
The biggest single volume of inbound foreign investment in Kosovo in February, of 4.8 million euro, originated in Switzerland. Germany followed with 4.3 million euro.
The sectors, which attracted the biggest volume of investment by non-residents in February were real estate, renting and business activities with 13.7 million euro, and financial intermediation with 5.4 million euro.
In 2018, the net inflow of FDI to Kosovo totalled 231.5 million euro, down from 281.3 million euro in 2017.
