PRISTINA (Kosovo), December 23 (SeeNews) – The net inflow of foreign direct investment (FDI) to Kosovo totalled 29.7 million euro ($32.9 million) in September, lower than 30.8 million euro in the same month of 2018, according to preliminary data published by the central bank.
By comparison, foreign remittances to Kosovo totalled 74.3 million euro in September, up 9.9% year-on-year.
The biggest volume of inbound foreign investment in Kosovo in September, of 14 million euro, originated in Germany. Turkey followed with 11 million euro.
The sectors, which attracted the biggest volume of investment by non-residents in September were real estate, renting and business activities with 29 million euro, and electricity, gas and water supply with 8.6 million euro.
In 2018, the net inflow of FDI to Kosovo totalled 231.5 million euro, down from 281.3 million euro in 2017.
