November 25 (SeeNews) - The net inflow of foreign direct investment (FDI) into Montenegro rose to 345.4 million euro ($411 million) in the first nine months of 2020, from 226.9 million euro in the prior-year period, the central bank said, citing preliminary figures.
Total FDI inflow decreased to 506.8 million euro in the first nine months of 2020 from 591.7 million euro in January-September 2019, while FDI outflow declined to 161.4 million euro from 364.8 million euro, the central bank said.
The inflow of investments in companies and banks fell to 91.9 million euro in the period under review, from 206.2 million euro a year earlier, while investments in real estate went down to 72.5 million euro from 129.7 million euro.
FDI inflow in the form of intercompany lending increased to 311.9 million euro in the first nine months, from 235 million euro in the like period of 2019.
The net inflow of foreign direct investment (FDI) into Montenegro grew to 344.7 million euro in 2019, from 322.5 million euro in the previous year.
